Environmental Policy
Morrison Facilities Services acknowledges its responsibilities to monitor and control the impacts on the environment that may be caused as a result of its activities.
We aim to reduce adverse impacts by:
- Provision of adequate resources to implement this policy
- Identification of and compliance with appropriate legislation and other regulations
- Identification of environmental aspects and impacts associated with the operation of our contracts and with the introduction of new services, contracts and supply partners
- Establishment and monitoring of environmental objectives and targets to continually improve our performance
- Management of the environmental aspects of our supply chain by
- Monitoring their compliance with environmental legislation
- Encouraging sound environmental practices
- Encouraging the use of sustainable resources
- Promoting environmental awareness
- Promoting the prevention of pollution
- Monitoring their environmental performance
- Promotion of employees’ understanding and co-operation through awareness and training.
- Monitoring of transportation and reduction of fuel emissions and fuel consumption where possible
- Purchasing from sustainable sources where practical and economical
- Investigation of all environmental incidents
Morrison Facilities Services’ Partnering Director has overall responsibility to ensure compliance with this policy. Day-to-day management of the environmental management system is the responsibility of the Quality & Environment Manager.
This policy will be available to the public and will be communicated to employees, clients, supply partners, subcontractors and other interested parties. The policy will be regularly reviewed to ensure it continues to meet legal and company requirements.
